Climb up to the dramatic Castle of Palamidi to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The castle is a great example of Venetian architecture that was constructed at the beginning of the 19th century - it is considered to be one of the finest samples of defensive architecture in Greece. 

Don’t miss the Acronafplia, the oldest castle in Nafplio, especially during sunset!

Walk the Promenade of Arvanitia - a beautiful seaside pathway carved into massive rocks with amazing views of all of Nafplio’s castles.

Visit the Museum of Komboloi, the sole in the world, where you can discover the history of worry beads from all over the world within an 18th-century mansion in the Old Town. 

Hop into a boat to visit Bourtzi Castle, the trademark of Nafplio. It was built in 1473 by the Venetians to protect the city. Today, a series of events take place at Bourtzi during the summer.
