Araplakos Canyon is one of the unknown gorges of Olympus, it is located at the foot of the mountain in a beautiful environment with rich vegetation and on its beautiful slopes green waters flow that form large Pools.

Endless games with slides and dives in the beautiful lakes formed by the canyon, as well as continuous descents to the waterfalls will fascinate you! It is a satisfying route that will challenge you but at the same time will give you great thrills.

It has a total of 9 waterfalls (max 14m), several slides and dives.

The highest mountain in Greece and the residence of the twelve gods of mythology, invites you to a divine mountaineering experience. Here you will come with a unique mission: to sit on the “throne of Zeus”, having all of Greece at your feet !! and to conquer the peak.

Olympos, extending to the prefectures of Pieria and Larissa, southwest of Macedonia, proudly stands up like a giant tower of 2918 meters without anybody questioning its sovereignty. Because of this fact, the Ancient Greeks had “placed” their gods on him.

**Mytikas: at the top of Greece**

Meeting and welcome in Leptokarya, information about the activity and preparation. After a while we start with the company car crossing beautiful forest roads to the Christakis shelter at 2,400m.

From there the hike begins, we cross beautiful alpine slopes towards the peaks of Olympus, aiming to climb the highest peak in Greece, Mytikas. The whole route gives us unique images and a magnificent landscape unfolds in front of us with every step.

The route we follow is Christakis shelter – Skala peak – Kakoskala – Mytikas – Christakis shelter.

- Travel by car **4 hours** (from Leptokarya and return)

Discover Meteora not in the classic tourist way, but through activities in nature, A day tour in nature for all.

Huge vertical cliffs, with awe inspiring panoramic views, With centuries old but active monasteries perched on top. Natural sculptures created by prehistoric rivers. 

The monks have established a centuries old tradition: climbing, aided by ropes, nets, wooden structures or bare hands.

Today climbers from all over the world visit Meteora, to be challenged by the “god-made” rocks. UNESCO has designated Meteora as “_Conserved and Protected Monument of Humanity_“. The Greek state as a “_place sacred, unalterable and inviolable_“. Add your own characterization in the “_guest book_” of Meteora, which reaches over 2 million visitors every year.

### Via Cordata / monasteries

Using safety equipment we will climb the rock “Agia” of Meteora (Stavros) and from there we will have time to admire the wonderful monasteries that rise on the rocks as well as the beautiful city of Kalambaka

Via cordata is an activity similar to Via Ferrata, the difference is that we move secured with ropes

After the end of the activity we will visit the Holy Monastery of Varlaam.

**Mytikas: at the top of Greece**

Higher than the 2,918 meters only the birds fly. These and the immense blue of the sky will be seen on the highest peak of Olympus, Mytikas. With only a few meters away, Skolio, Stephani, Skala and Prophet Elias stand up to form a compact mountain mass that you should see through the clouds, shining and imposing. Besides, one of the interpretations of the word Olympos from the Homeric years is “shining”.

## 📅 Itinerary

### Day 1

Meeting and welcome in the central parking of Litochoro. Activity information and preparation, departure by car for the place Gorzia.

Hiking from Gortsia to the Plateau of the Muses. Accommodation at the mountain refuge Kakkalos or Apostolidis (subject to availability). Duration 5-7 hours (depending on the capabilities of the team).

Short stop for rest in the middle of the route at the mountain refuge of Petrostrouga.

**Meeting time 09:00**

### **Day 2**

Hiking from the mountain shelter to the top of Mytika 2918 meters, lasting 1.5 hours, there we will sign the book of climbers and we will rest for our return.

Return to the position “Gortsia” lasting 5-7 hours (depending on the capabilities of the team).
Short stop for rest in the middle of the route at the mountain refuge of Petrostrouga.

The Orlias Canyon is probably the most famous and visited for Canyoning in Olympus.

It is located at the foot of Olympus in a beautiful environment with lush vegetation and on the beautiful slopes flows the green waters of Orlia Canyon.

Next to the Canyon there is a beautiful path, which we follow towards the top of the canyon.

The combination of hiking in the beautiful nature and the canyon images will enchant you!

Endless games with slides and dives in the beautiful lakes that form the canyon, as well as continuous descents in the waterfalls will fascinate you!

In total there are 6 waterfalls for rappel (max 11m), several slides and dives.

Meteora has a very large network of ancient paths carved into the Rock by the monks hundreds of years ago. We will follow one of them that will lead us to two of the most famous monasteries of Meteora, the Holy Monastery of Varlaam and the Holy Monastery of Megalo Meteoro, where we will have time to visit them.

After our visit to the two monasteries, we can have free time for a guided tour of the town of Kalambaka and Lunch, or we can visit a third monastery of the Holy Trinity, following a beautiful cobblestone path.
