Paddling Around the Defences of Nafplio: Explore the natural and manmade defenses of Nafplio as you paddle along the stunning steep cliffs and navigate the three Venetian castles strategically perched on the landscape. Immerse yourself in the perspectives of attackers and defenders during crucial battles that shaped Greek history from the 1400s to the Greek Revolution in 1821.

Palamidi Fortress: Witness the grandeur of Palamidi Fortress, an architectural masterpiece crowning the cliff's summit at 280 meters. Paddle just below the sheer cliffs, with the castle-like a crown on top, offering a unique vantage point to appreciate the sophistication of its design and its crucial role in historical events.

Acronafplia Fortress: Paddle all around Acronafplia Fortress, the acropolis of Nafplio, enjoying the walls up close, seeing the headland and watchtower from below. Envision the strategic importance of this fortress that mirrors the city's storied past.

Bourtzi Island Castle Marvel at the gem of Nafplio, Bourtzi Island Castle, responsible for safeguarding the port. See it from the lighthouse of the port as we stop to discuss port defenses and take great pictures with the fortresses in the background. While we don't set foot on the island, soak in its historic significance and picturesque beauty from the unique perspective of your kayak.
